A LUXURY care home group has had two of its homes included in a prestigious national guide recognizing the finest residential care settings in the UK.
Foxhunters in Abergavenny, Wales, and Brockington House in Hereford, both feature in the Knight Frank 2023 Luxury Care Home Guide.
The homes are owned by Dormy Care Communities, a company which operates an exclusive group of high-quality care homes for older people, including those living with dementia.
The prestigious annual guide showcases the top one hundred care homes in the UK and reveals some of the finest care facilities across the country. Competition to be included in the guide is fierce and each home is judged based on the quality of care they provide and the standard of design and renovation.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Foxhunters has been included in the guide. In 2020, the home was also voted the winner of the Knight Frank Luxury Care Home Award.
The 2023 guide notes how the surrounding views of the region are maximized by large windows and balconies as a main feature of the 70-bedroom home and luxury facilities such as a bar, cinema, gym, and state-of-the-art technology such as a Tovertafel magic table which forms part of the varied activity programme.
This is the third year in succession for the 70-bedroom Brockington House, with the guide noting the companion suites for couples, how the home has been themed to integrate the local military presence in Hereford, and has a dedicated activities space which also includes a Tovertafel magic table and a separate library.
