Date of news/blog: 13th November 2019

We are thrilled to announce that Foxhunters Care Community has been named the first in Wales to win the Knight Frank Luxury Care Home Award (2020).

The prestigious award recognises excellence in care homes across the UK and announced its winner at the Health & Senior Property dinner at the Marriott Hotel, London on October 3rd.

The impressive accolade takes into consideration the design, innovation, interior and facilities of luxury care homes, with finalists and winners featuring in the annual Luxury Care Guide which is due to be published next year.

Foxhunters was handpicked by a panel of four judges after touring contenders up and down the country. Judges were shown around the home which boasts a cinema, bar, coffee shop, gym and hairdressing salon and overlooks stunning views of the Welsh mountains.

CEO of Dormy Care Communities, Helen Davies-Parsons said:

“We are absolutely thrilled that Foxhunters in Abergavenny has won best luxury care home.

“What an accolade this is, particularly being the first home in Wales to ever receive this award.

“I would like to say special thanks to Kelly Wilson Interiors who did a fantastic job of designing the home’s interior and to all our suppliers and people involved.
