We’re getting into the Christmas spirit at Bramshott Grange!

Date of news/blog: 17th December 2019

We’ve been feeling festive this December and our ladies and gentlemen have been taking part in lots of festive activities. We love Christmas time at Bramshott Grange and can’t wait to see what this year brings!

Here’s what we’ve been up to so far in the run-up to Christmas…

22nd November – A festive trip to the garden centre

We took a festive trip to Forest Lodge garden centre to do some Christmas shopping and see all the seasonal displays and decorations. Our ladies and gentlemen had a fantastic time browsing the shop and even enjoyed a nice hot drink and some cake afterwards!

December 8th – Decorating the Christmas tree

We had a wonderful afternoon decorating the home and the Christmas tree, ready for the festive season to begin! The angels around the mirror were made from old hymn books by our residents – don’t they look fantastic!

December 9th – Baking Christmas truffles

We spent the afternoon baking delicious Christmas truffles which we all enjoyed with a nice cup of tea! Our ladies and gentlemen had a brilliant time making them, plus it certainly got us feeling festive.

December 11th – Christmas carols with Liphook Infants Community Choir

We had a lovely visit from Liphook Infants Community Choir, who came to sing Christmas songs with our ladies and gentlemen. Their choir group was set up to encourage community spirit, mix generations and to promote wellbeing. We think they are doing a fabulous job and we certainly enjoyed having them visit our home!

December 17th – A Christmas visit from Mr Kipling

Today, Mr Kipling the miniature Donkey paid our ladies and gentlemen a Christmas visit! Part of the Miniature Therapy Horse Team in Surrey, he was accompanied by his owner, Caroline, and spent the afternoon taking pictures with our residents and browsing the home – even visiting some of our residents at their bedside. The ladies and gentlemen at Bramshott Grange absolutely loved him and we were sad to see him leave!
