Dormy Care Communities has teamed up with the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer to ensure the ladies and gentlemen in our homes can enjoy even more of the finer things in life.
The new partnership with Majestic Wine ensures that the wines on offer in our homes are on a par with many top restaurants.
And because our facilities are all inclusive, it means our residents can enjoy some wonderful wines at no additional cost.
James Thomas, Executive Chef at Dormy Care Communities, struck up the deal after chatting with the manager of his local Majestic store.
“We are always ambitious to provide a better-quality product for our residents and this allows us to raise our game in the wine stakes,” he says.
Dormy Care operates four care communities in England and Wales and residents of Brockington House in Hereford were the first to benefit from the partnership. It’s proved so popular it has now been extended to Foxhunters in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Pine Martin Grange in Wareham, Dorset and Bramshott Grange in Liphook, Hampshire.
The new wine list features a rich mix of bottles including Wild Ocean Chardonnay from South Africa, Ventoux Aime Arnoux, a classic French red from the Rhone Valley and regular weekly specials. These were chosen following a wine tasting event held in Brockington House.
Dormy Care Communities was established with a focus on providing the highest standards of care and support in the very best environments. As well as a full programme of crafts and events, other facilities on offer include an assisted gym, a beauty salon, a cinema, and a games room.
The importance of food, drink and conviviality is recognised and encouraged through fine dining, social cafés, and bars with large screens to host sport and cultural programmes.
“When people move in with us, we want them to continue to enjoy the things they enjoy in life and we want to offer them the opportunity of new enriching experiences,” said James.
“Food and drink play an important part in that and this partnership with Majestic means our residents can enjoy some of the best wines the world has to offer.”
