The beauty of the home

Date of news/blog: 25th September 2023

Anna Zajacova has worked at Bramshott since it opened in 2018, so few people know the home better than her. But she says that even after five years, she never ceases to be amazed by the beauty of the home and, more importantly, how good the care is.

This should come as little surprise, given she is part of the team which delivers such outstanding levels of care.

Anna, who is originally from Slovakia, got her first professional care experience working as a live-in carer in the United States of America.

When she moved to the UK, she started working in another care home in Liphook, where she spent 12 years, and then she heard about a new luxury home which was being built in the area.

“I was ready to work somewhere else and I remember visiting Bramshott before it opened and marveling at what a gorgeous, beautiful environment it was,” she recalls.

“Staff at some care homes get a few days induction training but here we got two weeks, so I knew I was coming to somewhere special.”

Mum-of-two Anna remembers the very first residents arriving at Bramshott Grange and has seen the home grow into the busy place it is today.

“It’s natural that no-one sets out to end their lives in a care home, so it’s our job to help with this transition and make the lives of our ladies and gentlemen as comfortable and enjoyable as possible so eventually it does feel like home to them.” she explains.

“We always try to encourage them to take part in activities, spend time in the communal areas, enjoy the gardens, have meals together or a drink at the bar.

“It’s a beautiful place in which to work and very rewarding.”
