International Women’s Day
Date of news/blog: 9th March 2026International Women’s Day at Dormy Care is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a celebration of the women who make our homes compassionate, vibrant and truly special.
But more importantly, it reinforces our commitment to supporting, valuing and uplifting women — not just today, but every day of the year.
At Dormy Care, the day carries an especially deep significance. Women sit at the heart of our five care communities — shaping the warmth, compassion and excellence that define the care we deliver every day.
Across our homes, women make up the large majority of our workforce and their dedication is seen in every role — from nursing and care to hospitality, housekeeping, wellbeing, leadership and beyond.
Here are the numbers:
- Bramshott: 98 women out of 117 staff members
- Brockington House: 104 women out of 121 total staff
- Pine Martin Grange: 79 women out of 100 staff
- Foxhunters: 106 women out of 125 total staff
- Glenburnie: 62 women out of 77 staff members
These figures highlight something we already know: our homes are powered by exceptional women whose skills, empathy and professionalism make Dormy Care the special place it is.
International Women’s Day isn’t only about our staff. It is also about the remarkable women who live in our homes — women who have lived extraordinary lives, raised families, built careers, shaped communities and who continue to inspire us with their stories, wisdom and humour.
We are therefore very proud to have been able to mark the day across our homes.
