How the RoomMate Fall Monitoring System works
We have partnered with Norway-based Sensio to install RoomMate, a revolutionary safety sensor, across all of our homes. Following a highly successful pilot at our Foxhunters Care Community in Abergavenny, South Wales—where the technology helped prevent multiple falls and potential injuries, and freed up valuable care team time—the system has now being rolled out group-wide.
Sends out infrared light and scans the room anonymously
The RoomMate sensor sends out infrared light and scans the room anonymously, so a person’s privacy is not impacted. Should the sensor detect anything of concern
Send noficiations and alerts home system
If the sensor detects anything of concern, it automatically alerts the home’s alarm system and the care team’s devices. Staff can then carry out an anonymous digital check of the room before taking immediate action if needed.
Saving staff while still protecting
The person doesn’t need to wear any device, and the sensor can be customised for each individual. It also reduces the need for care staff to physically check rooms, protecting rest and improving residents’ quality of life.Technology
