A much easier transition

And she has certainly made an impact with our ladies, gentlemen and fellow colleagues because she was nominated, and went on to win a bronze award, in the compassion and dignity category at the 2025 Dormy Awards.
Originally from Kerala, worked in hospitals in India and the Middle East for 12 years before moving to the UK.
Now studying to become a Nurse in the country, Saiji say her nursing background has been invaluable in her day‑to‑day role at Bramshott.
“Knowing importance of approaching people with kindness, sensitivity and dignity has definitely helped me here,” she says.
Saiji says she has been made to feel very welcome at Bramshott Grange and has been very impressed by the high level of care provided at the home and the camaraderie among staff.
“The ladies and gentlemen have access to such varied activities and everyone is focused on keeping them engaged and happy,” she says.
“The home always feels lively and full of positive energy everyone is very supportive and it’s like being part of a large family.”
Although surprised by the recognition at the awards, Saiji is very proud of the achievement, adding: “I was not expecting it, but it was nice to know people think so highly of me.”
