National Care Home Open Day!

Date of news/blog: 19th April 2018

Join us on Saturday 21st April from 11 – 3 for our vintage tea party and musical art therapy.

Dormy Care Communities believe that life shouldn’t stop when someone moves in to a care home and our focus is on offering a range of enriching activities. This will be an opportunity to experience one of the group sessions that will be on offer once open and meet some of the Dormy Care team.

Local artist Shaun Ray joins us for a musical art session. Shaun works locally with Gwent Arts in Health and has his work displayed in Nevill Hall. Shaun uses music and translates the rhythm and the emotion of instrumental sound, into shape, pattern and colour. This unique approach to painting intensifies the artist’s feelings of wellbeing.

Care Home Open Day is all about Linking Communities. It’s a chance to celebrate all the different people, cultures and relationships in the local area and show that care homes are friendly, happy and exciting places to be.

A big part of Care Home Open Day is about bringing the community through our doors and establishing meaningful and long-term friendships and with this in mind we would love you to join us for one of our fun activities. A chance to see our home in action and meet new people.
