Five-star food hygiene rating

Date of news/blog: 21st January 2026

We are pleased to announce that Bramshott Grange has once again been awarded a five-star food hygiene rating after a recent unannounced environmental health inspection.

We were visited by a food safety officer from the Food Standards Agency who gave the home the maximum rating.

The inspection looked at the home’s hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and buildings, as well as management of food safety.

On all three of these elements, the home was rated “very good”.

The rating for hygienic food handling means the home has shown very good hygienic handling of food, including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling, and storage.

The same rating for management of food safety means the home has a very good system or checks in place to ensure food is safe to eat.

James Thomas, Executive Chef at Dormy Care Communities, said: “We are very pleased that the Food Standards Agency has recognised our continuing commitment to exceptional standards in our catering standards.

“Whilst this is our expected standard, it should never be forgotten that this is only achieved through the hard work and commitment of our exceptional team led by our Head Chef Angela Waite and her amazing team at Bramshott Grange.”
